Thank you, Project 365.
I’m not going to continue because taking a picture every day “because I have to” led me to feel burnt out, uninspired, and unmotivated. It started to make me even hate, or at least hate the “chore” of, photography. Sometimes I would just take a cursory pic with the nearest camera with very little thought. When it started becoming drudgery, something I had to do instead of what I wanted to do, something inside me tugged and I knew that I couldn’t continue forcing it anymore.
My photography has grown– I have been stretched to show up and perform and think of something new on days when the last thing I wanted to do was take a picture. But Project 365 is not for me. I also considered exploring self-portraits again for next year, but I feel like a daily practice would once again not be for me.
I wish everyone luck on their 365! Keep in touch

It has been quite a challenge. Thank you for participating with us. We appreciate it! You are not the first to go. lol
Sui! I understand where you are coming from. It is hard to “make” yourself do it. I definitely understand the drain on the inspiration. I’ve been falling behind again, but I’ll keep trying, it’s at least some sort of motivation for me to be creative rather than so busy. It was great to “meet” you here, you are definitely talented!
@Jacques – she’s not the first to go, but the first to actually say goodbye.
I think everyone has their interpretation as to what 365ers is and what it means to us as artist. As artists i think we strive to create the best we can every time we can, i think what we often fail to do is celebrate the little victories. Every thought we have is creative because we are born with curiosity and imaginations. Our limits are our own, and our ceiling is the one we set. what am i trying to say? I think its that 365ers doesn’t have to be making a masterpiece everyday, although we would all love that! hahah I think its remembering we are surrounded by beauty, and stopping to remember it in our busy lives only enriches us. Anyone can do it, everyone can see it, and at the end of the day — thats all that matters. I wish you the best with your photos, you take beautiful imagery… and i’m glad i got to be introduced to your work through here…
